Located on 50th Street, Ratliff Park is a public park in Lubbock, TX with several sports courts. It has a pavilion, playground, and benches. Have a picnic and enjoy a game of volleyball! 

The park has two tennis courts and a volleyball court. All the courts are lighted so visitors can enjoy games after sundown. Ratliff Park is open 5 AM to midnight. Dogs are allowed, but all pets must be leashed. 

Joyland Amusement Park is a family-owned amusement park in Lubbock, TX. This is a fun experience for all ages! The park has 30 rides and attractions including Big Splash Water Slide, Dare Devil Drop, X-Factor Extreme, Dragon Wagon, Scrambler, and lots more. 

Joyland Amusement Park is open March to September. It’s located in Mackenzie Park. The amusement park was opened in the 1940s as Mackenzie Park Playground. In 1973, Jimmy and Katie Dean bought the park and renamed it Joyland Amusement Park. 

The Science Spectrum Museum is a non-profit science museum in Lubbock, TX beside South Loop 289. The science museum has more than 250 interactive exhibits and holds Lubbock’s only aquarium. Established in 1986, The Science Spectrum is devoted to exploration and science education. 

The Science Spectrum Museum also has an amazing 55-foot OMNI Theater. The theater shows films such as Dinosaurs of Antarctica and Great Bear Rainforest. Children two and under are free to enter.
